Stone and Fiber: The Material Culture of the Dani People of Papua
Run Time: 8:03
A brief introduction to the fascinating material culture of the Dani people of Papua (Indonesia, New Guinea). Objects and photographs collected by Dr O W Hampton in the 1980s document daily lives of one of the last stone tool using peoples on our planet. The Tracing Patterns Foundation is conserving this unique collection and taking a fresh look at its significance. We are appealing for donations to help us exhibit the Archive and make it available to scholars and the public.
